During my career I have always been interested in the ideas of intercultural communication, its social, historical and other aspects, along with the ideas of cultural inheritance, development and progress. The influence of post-modern philosophy determined my interest in European and other ancient cultures, their utilization in contemporary art. In 2012 Sigitas Staniunas was an artist in residency for one month in Instituto Sacatar, Brazil.
During his stay artist created cycle of paintings and few art events. He spend one day of painting in oldest church of Itaparica.

The Gallery is one of those places in the Yong Kang Street which attracts numbers of artists, art lovers and collectors. It was established in 2004. Piao Piao Gallery is one of those places in the Yong Kang Street which attracts numbers of artists, art lovers and collectors. It was established in 2004. The owner Peng Kanglong said, “The motivation to open the gallery was based neither on material incentives nor on the notion of ‘art for art’s sake’. Actually, this is just a way of lifestyle.
